A Unique entity means that only one card with that particular name may be in play at any time, and you can't play or create a second card with that name while another is in play. Ffor example, you can't play Shadehawk (Prime) if there is any Shadehawk in play. Cards with an AKA (such as The Axe) are treated as having two names for the purposes of this rule. No error message is displayed if you can't play a card because of this rule, so be aware.

Blank Clone and Nanoreplicator are exceptions to the unique rule; they can become a copy of a unique entity.

While Unique is displayed in the card type, it doesn't count as being part of the type. For example, the 'e' in 'Unique' doesn't grant World's Biggest e bonuses.

• Year Three Cake (Destroys all unique entities whenever a spell is cast)
• Weak Pt (Destroys target unique or dark monster)
• Sheena (Ability can destroy all non-unique monsters)
• Axion (Ability destroys all non-unique monsters)
• moonfish (Ability dizzies unique entities)

• Highlander Trophy (Makes all monsters unique)
