Karakasa-obake

Card Details

• Card art was done by masamunemaniac.
• Susuharai has the hidden ability of adding Karakasa-obake to your hand when it is discarded.
• Cards with discard-fuelled abilities have the added benefit of being able to discard both Susuharai and the created Karakasa-obake without losing card advantage from the second discard.
• Can be used to destroy New Power Source after use in order to free up the slot, instead of waiting for its Fleeting to activate. This also prevents the opponent from benefiting from its ability.
• Makes the use of power gens for card drawing much more efficient.
• Can be used to prevent damage from Overload or to prevent stealing from Holy Beacon.
• A surprise use is to destroy your own Starship Drives to give your monsters all +1/+1 when they're being attacked, which can prove incredibly useful if the opponent is using monsters with similar stats.
• Susuharai's flavor text is based on Valhallar's. It used to be based on Melrak Soldier's, and hinted that Susuharai had a hidden ability.

Card History

• Aug 29th, 2011: 'Discarded: Gain Karakasa-obake in hand' ability made non-hidden. Flavor text changed to "Honor by the Broom" from "Don't underestimate the power of sweeping".
