Pre-game Rules

  • It will use a round robin system, with participants paired into teams of two (pre-arranged or random).
  • Each player must pick 30 different non-banned cards (based on card number) to form a 30 card pool from which they may make a deck from.
  • Decks can contain 4x any of the cards from the pool (with the exception of generator effects and other cards mentioned below).
  • Deck pools are individual, and not shared between the team.
  • Each person in the team needs to pick entirely different cards for their own card pool; they can't have any of the same cards in their card pools, excluding generator effects (which count as a card towards the card pool, but both members may use the same generators as an exception to this rule).
  • Players can change their deck at any point in the tournament, however they will always be restricted by their chosen card pool.
  • Decks must contain at least 30 cards.
  • In the case of a balance change, a quarter of cards changed in the balance (rounded up) to a maximum of five cards from a deck pool can be changed until up to three days after the balance change is put into effect; first the player may choose to either add or remove cards involved in the balance, and then afterwards they must add or remove any cards from their cardlist until they have 30 cards in their cardlist. The new card pool must be c-mailed to the organizer after this.
  • Everyone must C-mail their chosen card pool prior to their team playing any games.
  • Everyone's card pools will be posted once the tournament starts.

Game Rules

  • A team may face another team in three games. It doesn't matter which player plays another while representing their team.
  • If one of the two team members is inactive, a player can't change their deck pool to reflect upon this.
  • If a player is challenged by anyone of an opposing team, they cannot decline a challenge for the first game (out of the three games). After this, they may decline under the assumption that games will be played between different players in the same two teams.
  • If a team has completed over 75% of their games then any challenges sent or received cannot be declined.

Points

  • Points are earned for the team.
  • The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be the winner.
  • The team gains three points for winning a game, and gain one point for losing a game.
  • The team gains one additional point for winning all three games of a match.
  • In the event of a timeout, the players should attempt to come to an agreement on who won. Failing that, asking observers if there was a clear-cut victory, otherwise the game doesn't count. Players that are found to be abusing this will be penalised.
