- Due to his drawing ability, Rio is sometimes seen as a larger version of an NPC (Original) card by some players, and is frequently used as splash.
- This is the Dark counterpart to Drecker (Clash). Overall it has +5/-9 and lacks hero synergy in comparison, leading to Rio being played less often.
