Public Store

The Public Store is where cards go when you hit the sell button besides them in deck management screens. There can be a maximum of 5 of each card in there. You can sell more, though they just disappear into nothingness. Contrary to some common beliefs, the Public Store doesn't ever restock automatically. The only cards it ever contains are those sold by players.

Though the Public Store has a very large selection, it usually will not have some of the rarer cards, as these are sold less often and quickly bought when spotted. If there's a card you can't find in the public store, or that you would like to buy for a cheaper price or in greater quantities, you may want to try the personal stores or post a thread in the Auction section of the CMC Forums.

Rarity and Value relation

The buy and sell values that the Public Store uses are directly related to rarity for most cards, and are usually vastly different to the values when traded amongst live players.

The formulae for the buy and sell values of a card from the public store are as follows:
Buy value = floor( rarity * √rarity / 3 ) + 5
Sell value = One fifth of the buy value

Cards unavailable from booster packs, such as those of the Voucher, Event, and Secret sets, have a buy value 2000 points. If they have a rarity of 101, they have a sell value of 600 points, otherwise they sell for the regular amount.
