Malatak's ability, by attacking another monster, can damage monsters with combat damage modifiers, Entrenching or similar protections.
The ability is also useful for killing small or damaged monsters en masse, or to indirectly damage larger monsters without receiving the damage from them.
Malatak can be a threat without monster destruction, as he damages all of his opponent's monsters when defending.
