As his ability is speed and does not dizzy himself, he can often use it to gain attack from your Dark monsters before they are destroyed or dizzied by a spell or ability, or if their own ability is about to be countered.
His ability can also be used in response to an opponent's spell or ability during their Defense Phase to cancel a Dark monster's attack (including his own attack) in order to keep them alive.
If he's kept undizzy for defense and he is attacked directly, he can use the ability on himself to boost his attack.
