Generate

Generating is a term used to describe the accumulation of mana. Basic generators, such as Starship Engine, Spirit Bead, or Power Crystal create one , , or mana respectively every draw phase. Other generators, such as Battery Relic or Stone Orb can generate greater amounts, or have other abilities as well.

Mana is then used to summon monsters or cast spells, so be sure to stock up on generators!

Generation can be considered to be the opposite of maintenance. Generation occurs before maintenance and similar draw phase costs are paid.
