The dizzy indicator

Whether an entity is dizzy or not indicates whether that monster or effect is "spent" for the turn. Generally, if an entity is dizzied it means that it has either just been summoned, or has been used since it's owner's last draw phase.

For a list of cards which can either inflict or remove dizzy status from an entity, see Category:Dizzier and Category:Undizzier.

Notes about Dizzying

  • During a player's Draw Phase, all of his monsters and effects undizzy.

- Exception: Unless an entity is dizzy-locked, in which case that entity stays dizzy if already dizzy.

  • Monsters, and most effects with usable abilities, come into play dizzy.

- Exception: Unless said monster or effect has the Speed Summon ability.

  • Monsters dizzy whenever they attack.

- Exception: Unless said monster has the Focus ability.

  • Monsters and effects cannot use activated abilities at all if they are dizzy (Even if the ability cost doesn't dizzy them).
  • Monsters cannot block if they are dizzy.
