0New mystery card! But what is it? There is only one way to obtain the card and it will give it to everyone! And that is for everyone to give up their points to unlock this card. When the total reaches ONE MILLION POINTS the VCH code will be released. There is no trading involved here, just post down how many points you want to give up and I will remove them from your account, where they will be flushed down the pointsink in my pointkitchen next to the pointgarbagedisposal. More details of the card and the event will be posted as the total point count climbs!

To register go on the forums, scroll to the top and click where it says "register", fill out the necessary steps and don't forget to include your CMC account name!

0Yeah, I know, huh? Been a while. There's a new sale at the Donation store, and there's a nice new card, which you can see right here:

  ** Challenge The Mods **
Posted by: masamunemaniac - 05-29-2010 03:32 PM
0Over these past few months, us moderators have been in secret training. We've been toughening ourselves up. I've been meditating in the mountains and slaying dragons, LtSterling has been swimming the oceans and suplexing boats, and I'm not sure what Ultros has been doing over in Canadia but it was cause enough for webrunner to move house.

So now, with our brutal training regimes having drawn to a close, we have decided that it's time to test our might. Now, we ask anyone that thinks themselves capable, to challenge the moderators to a children's card game!

To those that manage to best us, we offer our best cards as prizes...

... and more!

Do you have what it takes to challenge the mods? Then check out these threads for details:
Challenge The Mods - masamunemaniac
Challenge The Mods - Lt Sterling (Shuryou Gospel)
Challenge The Mods - EASY MODE UNLOCKED
Challenge The Mods - Hammerstrike
(others to come soon)

Good luck!

The Day the Baka Stood Still
Posted by: masamunemaniac - 05-12-2010 09:05 AM
0To commemorate the 609th anniversary of the birth of Japan's 101st emperor, the administration has decided to hold a tournament whose name contains a choice selection of japanese words:

Shigatsu 7: Day of the Baka

Signups are open until June 1st. It costs nothing to enter this tournament, save a little of your time and a lot of your sanity (the rules are just a little crazy, in continuation of April Fools tradition).

[Image: Exp_994.gif] This is an official tournament! The winner will receive a unique trophy card, and everyone that takes part will receive a free participation award. And if that's piqued your interest, you might want to read the newspost below this as well.

As a reminder for those of you new to the forums, if you wish to sign up for this or any other tournament, please go to User CP -> Profile, and fill out the CMC Login Name field with your CMC username, so that your opponents know who you are.

UPDATE: Signups have been extended to May 24th.

[Image: Exp_994.gif] UPDATE: The tournament is now provisionally official, meaning that should things run smoothly, everyone that takes part will receive a free participation award.

  It's Shigatsu giveaway time!
Posted by: masamunemaniac - 04-01-2010 05:19 PM
0Just for a change of pace this year, we've decided to give you a voucher code free of charge.

VCHTOOLAZYTOHIDE

Is this some kind of trick? Not at all! You may find yourself pleasantly surprised to see that it does indeed work and give you two new voucher cards for you to play with.

  It's Shigatsu hunt time!
Posted by: Ultros - 04-01-2010 11:48 AM
0Yep, I'm bringing you another forum hunt this year. For those of you who don't know how this works, simply start with VCH, and then scour the forum for threads corresponding to these clues for the rest of the voucher code:

1. Boxes bought during full moons have better cards. Trust me.
2. Kipling conversations.
3. Quest for the golden eyedropper.
4. A letter behind a letter.
5. I'm giving you the world's biggest F.
6. They're for buying face down cards.
7. Punch wrinkles.
8. Multiple doohickeys would be overpowered.
9. I'm hurrying now, and you're in my way: that's really not smart.
10. How does it type?

While it's fine to work together with people on this, please do not outright give answers to people who aren't helping you with the hunt.

Have fun!*

We claim no responsibility if you find you are, in fact, not having fun.

Sneaking in a balance update before April
Posted by: masamunemaniac - 03-30-2010 06:26 PM
0As activity for Invasion - Winter 2009 has waned somewhat (in part due to server difficulties), everyone taking part gets a reminder to please get their games in (particularly if you want the free participation card that comes from playing).

To people not taking part and therefore having little interest in the reminder, then consider this advance warning that this year's Shigatsunobaka tournament will be announced shortlyish. It also has free participation cards for entrants.

It's no longer that time of year again...
Posted by: masamunemaniac - 02-06-2010 08:02 PM
0With January well and truly gone, Santa has finally packed up and left, meaning that the extended gift-giving in the below newspost has ended. We hope you enjoyed the new cards (we lost good men making them).

On another note, once again we have a tournament for you to enter, and a link to take you to the signup thread:
PADC: Revolution
It's free to enter, and revolves around inventive and interesting deckbuilding rather than on winning at all costs, so if you fancy a change of pace and a bit of fun then give it a try.

Yup, it's JINGLE TIME:

masa edit: These are temporarily closed, they should hopefully reopen in a few days!
